Elevation Capital led $6.7 M Seed funding from AI agent platform Dextr AI

AI agent platform for the hospitality industry Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in a seed funding round led by Elevation Capital, with Foundation Capital also participating.

The company said in a press release that it will use the fresh capital to speed up product development, grow its team and expand deployments across hospitality markets worldwide. India is among the markets that Dextr AI plans to enter as part of its expansion strategy.

Founded in July 2025 by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, Dextr AI provides specialized AI agents designed to automate hospitality workflows across areas such as guest experience, reservations, staff operations, sales and marketing. Its platform is currently used by hundreds of properties, ranging from independent hotels and resorts to franchised properties.

Dextr AI currently has operations across the US, Canada, the UK and Europe. Its customers include franchised properties operating under brands such as Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western and IHG. The company says its platform handles more than one million interactions every month and supports voice-based payments, processing tens of millions of dollars in phone reservations each month on behalf of customers.

The startup also said its deployments have achieved industry-leading booking conversion rates for payments collected over the phone on behalf of customers.

Dextr AI is designed to address common operational challenges faced by hospitality businesses, including missed calls, unanswered enquiries, unfilled staff shifts and guest requests. By automating these processes, the company aims to enable hotel teams to devote more time and attention to guests.

An analysis conducted by Dextr of contact centres in India found that missed-call rates are around 42%. For hospitality businesses, the company notes that a missed call can potentially result in a booking being redirected to an online travel agency or a competing property.

Its reservation-centre deployments have generated returns on investment ranging from 49x to 67x, according to the company, by deploying a single voice-based system across multiple use cases.

Dextr AI is also introducing Doss Gen 1, a command layer that enables employees to manage the company’s AI workforce using natural language. Employees can interact with Doss either through text or voice.

The system has been designed around enterprise requirements, including role-based permissions, audit trails and consistency across an entire portfolio.
