The ET startup awards were held at a time when the economic situation was in turmoil and several companies had laid off their employees. These awards aim to celebrate and recognize the excellence in the Indian startup ecosystem during these trying times. The winners of the 2022 edition of the ET startups awards have been announced. A jury had been set up to pick winners from nine categories. The startup awards and the jury that met virtually were led by the MD of Infosys Salil Parekh.
The jury had prepared a draft of 200 pages, a handbook that contained confidential information such as criteria, policies, awards, etc. It stayed with the jury and was rechecked several times before finalizing the winners. Economic Times Startup Awards contacted top entrepreneurs, investors, and stakeholders from over 200 countries and prepared a list of potential talent. ET startup awards partnered with knowledge partner ‘Tracxn’ and took their expertise to select the final list.
The nine categories: Bootstrap Champ, Top Innovator, Comeback Kid, Social Enterprise, Best on Campus, Woman Ahead, Midas Touch, Startup of the Year, and CEO of the Year. Winners were announced on Monday 21st Nov.
