FirstCry increases its stake in Globalbees to 51.51 percent by injecting Rs 73 Cr

According to a stock exchange filing, FirstCry (Brainbees Solutions Ltd), an omnichannel retailer of baby products, has invested Rs 73 crore in its subsidiary Globalbees Brands Pvt. Ltd. as part of the second tranche of its Series C2 funding round.
On September 11, the Pune-based business paid Rs 3,28,845 in premium for 2,220 Series C2 compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS) at face value of Rs 5. As a result, FirstCry’s fully diluted stake in Globalbees increased marginally from 51.12% to 51.51%.
The plan to invest up to Rs 146 crore in Globalbees in one or more tranches has been approved by the board. The Series C2 Share Subscription Agreement, which was signed on March 30, 2025, covers the most recent tranche.
In addition to FirstCry’s investment, Globalbees has distributed 3,041 Series C2 CCPS to its current shareholders, generating a total of Rs 100 crore in this tranche.
FirstCry’s operating revenue increased from Rs 1,652 crore in Q1 FY25 to Rs 1,862.56 crore in Q1 FY26. During the same period, the company’s losses decreased by 13% to Rs 66.5 crore. The company’s positive EBITDA of Rs 75 crore was noteworthy.
