Foodtech startup Fambo raised Rs 21 Cr Pre-series A funding
Rajesh Sawhney and a number of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNIs) participated in the pre-Series A funding round led by EV2 Ventures, which raised Rs 21 crore ($2.5 million) for the foodtech startup Fambo.
According to a press release from Fambo, the money raised will be used to expand its network of partner farms, create an export vertical, invest in technology, and scale its operations throughout India.
Fambo is a foodtech startup that was co-founded in 2022 by Sudarshan Satle and Akshay Tripathi with the goal of using technology to change food systems. Following food safety guidelines like GAP, FSSAI, ISO, and NSF, the company uses its AI-enabled platform to guarantee the traceability of fresh produce from farms to restaurants.
The company offers a wide range of products to meet the needs of its customers, including frozen goods, fried goods, sauces, gravies, and fresh produce.
With its AI-enabled platform, the Noida-based startup links farmers directly with eateries, lodging facilities, and cloud kitchens, guaranteeing fresh produce while reducing waste and preserving quality. The business runs a cutting-edge microprocessing facility and provides semi-processed food products to help food service companies cut expenses, guarantee consistency, and simplify operations.
According to Fambo, its AI-driven platform assists eateries with purchasing ingredients, managing provisions, and guaranteeing a trustworthy supply chain with traceability. In addition to providing temperature-controlled logistics for on-time deliveries straight from farms to restaurants, it makes strategic sourcing possible.
Major brands like Burger King, McDonald’s, California Burrito, Burger Singh, Farzi Café, and Barbeque Nation are among the more than 500 restaurants and cloud kitchens that Fambo claims to service. After turning a profit in the third quarter of FY 2024–2025, it brought in Rs 18 crore in revenue in 2024. In order to create new food categories and serve a wider clientele, it is also organizing research and development in partnership with Indian and foreign universities.
