Game development studio Shortgun raises $1 M Seed funding

Shortgun, a game development company, has acquired $1 million from angel investors in a seed fundraising round.
The additional funding will be used to help with the game’s Minimum Viable Product (MVP) development and pre-production. It will also allow for strategic, need-based hiring to bolster its workforce, which is primarily headquartered in India.
The original Rogue Heist developers co-founded Shortgun Games, a next-generation game production studio, in 2021 with Jeet Chandan and Vidhit Mehta. The firm combines skills from interactive storytelling, cinematic action, and high production standards with the goal of creating India’s first genre-defying third-person shooter (TPS) game for PC and console.
The gaming sector in India is projected to be worth $5.21 billion in 2024 and double to $22.53 billion by 2034, according to market research.
Vicky Arora, a celebrated Bollywood action director who has worked on hit films like URI, RRR, TANAAV, and the next Ramayan Part, recently joined the company.
