Games Network launched by Kratos with allocation of Rs 50 Cr
The web-based game developer Kratos Studios has revealed the Kratos Games Network initiative, which will provide gaming studios with a grant of Rs 50 crore.
By March 2024, the company intends to target the first ten to fifteen studios. It is anticipated that this move will result in a 100X increase in the number of gamers. It claims to have enabled monetisation for 1.5 lakh gamers, amounting to Rs 5 crore.
The grant will be extended by Kratos Studios to web2 game development studios, who will then use it to convert their games to blockchain gaming. The selection process will prioritize game studios with a minimum daily active user count of 500,000, as well as factors based on profitability over a two-to-three-year period.
According to a press release from the company, the shortlisted game studios will have access to the 10 lakh members of the worldwide on-chain gaming community through the Kratos proprietary blockchain tech stack.
By integrating blockchain technology, these studios will be able to generate income for both developers and players.
The Kratos gaming community is already widespread and plans to target gaming studios in LATAM, East Asia, and Southeast Asia in addition to India.
