Gaming platform GameCentric received $1.5 M from Bilal Merchant

Bilal Merchant, an angel investor based in Dubai, has contributed $1.5 million (AED6 million) to GameCentric, the region’s newest gaming platform that is leading the way in bridging brands with gamers. Following the funding round, the platform went live on December 1st, 2023.

With this calculated infusion of capital, GameCentric is better positioned to expand its platform capabilities, reach new markets outside of the GCC and Mena, and revolutionize the way that gamers across the globe engage with games.

GameCentric’s well-executed, compelling vision provided the opportunity for angel investment. In 2023, GameCentric commenced its operations under the guidance of astute businessman Saad Khan, a seasoned veteran of the gaming industry who possessed a common vision to revolutionize the sector.

Saad Khan, CEO of GameCentric, stated, “Crafting a robust vision for our platform, supported by a sound business model and a seasoned management team, resonated with the angel investor, like Bilal Merchant, who recognized the immense potential within GameCentric, which drove his decision to invest. Our aspiration is not just to be a gaming platform but a cultural phenomenon transcending borders. Collaboration with industry leaders, community-driven programs, and an unwavering commitment to having the best user experience drive all of our future initiatives”.

GameCentric is planning to incorporate cutting-edge technologies in accordance with its vision in order to stay competitive and to develop fresh, alluring offers for advertisers, game publishers, and players. GameCentric will integrate digital assets, such as cryptocurrencies, by 2025 and make the shift to a Web3 digitally native platform in the upcoming years. These accomplishments demonstrate GameCentric’s dedication to carving out a distinctive niche for itself in the gaming business and offering customers distinctive, unmatched experiences.

In order to enhance its launch strategy and provide a top-notch gaming experience, GameCentric has teamed up with POWReSports, a company well-known for its influencer management campaigns and brand activations in Saudi Arabia, to strengthen its gamer acquisition approach. This partnership will support GameCentrics’ efforts to expand its ecosystem offering throughout the local gaming market.

For the next two years, the company is preparing for rapid growth and market expansion. GameCentric plans to more than double its selection of web2 and web3 games during this time, and it hopes to triple its user base throughout the MENA region, which is expected to have 88 million gamers by 2026.

In addition to providing users with an enhanced gaming experience, this initiative opens up a wide range of opportunities for brands to develop cutting-edge customer engagement strategies.

With this initiative, GameCentric’s market position will be strengthened and its position as a dominant force in the dynamic gaming and customer loyalty industries will be cemented. As GameCentric makes its way through this exciting stage of growth, stakeholders can anticipate a compelling value proposition that will open up previously unheard-of opportunities for both brands and gamers.
