Gobi Partners finances the digital reseller ecosystem Ejen2u in Malaysia

Along with Artem Ventures, the Asia-focused venture capital firm Gobi Partners has taken the lead investor role in the Pre-Series A funding round for the Malaysian reseller digital ecosystem Ejen2u.

According to a statement released by Gobi Partners and Ejen2u on Tuesday, this investment was made possible by the Gobi Dana Impak Ventures (GDIV) fund, which is supported by Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah).

In the future, Ejen2u wants to set the standard for agent solutions in the Malaysian market by enabling aspirant business owners from all walks of life to succeed.

They intend to diversify their product offering to meet the needs of different direct-to-consumer market segments, including drop shipping, online storefronts, and setting up fulfillment services.

Sheikh Ezaiddin, Imran Hadi, and Taufiq Zakir, the founders of Ejen2u, have over 50 years of combined experience in business ownership and the reseller sector.

The company plays a crucial role in assisting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), including brand owners, stockists, agents, and drop shippers, in elevating their business endeavors as Malaysia’s homegrown reseller digital ecosystem.

Among the many services offered by Ejen2u are a cloud-based reseller management platform, a reseller education platform, a venture builder for resellers, and several cutting-edge fintech solutions.

Over 340,000 resellers are currently served by the Ejen2u platform throughout Malaysia, including 600 women leaders since its launch in 2019.

Women make up nearly 85% of Ejen2U’s users, looking to earn extra money while caring for their children at home.

“While our EjenGo platform serves as an initial attraction for our clients, our true differentiator lies in our holistic approach beyond technology,

“This includes our comprehensive soft skills workshops and the impactful WeMap program for women who represent 85 percent of our users,” Ejen2u Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Ezaiddin said.

“We firmly believe that the core strength of any brand resides in its human capital,

“By relieving our clients of burdensome bookkeeping tasks, we empower their agents and resellers to represent the brand more effectively, leading to enhanced sales and overall brand growth,” he added.

The future potential of Ejen2u and the impact it has on domestic MSMEs are both highly anticipated by the company’s strategic investors.
