The Ministry of Power has solicited expressions of interest for building up a manufacturing zone on a pilot basis for the power and renewable energy sectors with a budgetary allocation of Rs 400 crore over a five-year period in order to support the Aatmanirbhar Bharat programme. The Ministry has already issued directives to carry out a project to establish a manufacturing zone for the electricity and renewable energy sectors on a trial basis, with a financial cost of Rs 400 crore spread over five years.
“This is the Central Sector Scheme and the duration of the scheme is five years from FY 2022-23 to FY 2026-27,” the ministry said.
The deadline to submit Expressions of Interest is June 8, 2022. The EOI process authority, according to the ministry, has selected a single-stage EOI method for selecting the winning proposer.
“Each proposer is required to submit a single proposal. All proposals are required to be prepared and submitted in accordance with the terms of this EOI on or before the proposal due date,” it said.
