Home services startup COOX raised $125K Seed funding
A seed round led by Inflection Point Ventures has raised $125,000 for the on-demand home services startup COOX.
The money raised will be utilized to increase marketing efforts, grow its operations from 20 to 40 cities, and improve its technology by integrating AI for increased scalability and efficiency.
COOX, which was founded by Akshat Gupta, Abhishek Gupta, and Rajat Johri, provides more than ten on-demand home services and event hosting options, ranging from live entertainment and rentals to professional chefs and hospitality workers. To meet all of your home cooking needs, it also offers domestic cooks on a monthly subscription basis.
Offering 500 dishes ranging from Indian to Continental, it boasts that it has served over 5 lakh patrons since 2019. In addition to creating jobs for gig workers in the hospitality and events industry, COOX, which employs over 3,000 skilled professionals, wants to modernize home services through technology.
With operations in 20 Indian cities as of October 2024, COOX provides a wide range of more than ten on-demand event hosting and house party services.
For domestic cooks, COOX also offers a monthly subscription service. In order to meet the diverse needs and preferences of its clients, this all-inclusive package of home services includes both cooking solutions and event hosting.
Market research predicts that growth in a number of segments will propel the Indian food services market to $125 billion by 2030. The catering sector alone is worth about Rs 20,000 crores and is growing at a 15% yearly rate.
