Hyderabad to host two-day inception meeting for Startup 20 engagement group
A two-day initial meeting of the Startup 20 Engagement Group, formed under India’s G20 presidency, will take place in Hyderabad starting on Saturday. The G20 consists of both developed and developing countries. This year, India is in the presidency.
According to G20 sherpa Amitabh Kant, Hyderabad has a culture of innovation, and Startup 20 is a significant engagement group.
According to Anurag Jain, secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Startup20 has three distinct tracks: foundation and alliance; financing; and inclusivity and sustainability.
Creating a worldwide narrative for assisting entrepreneurs and fostering synergies between them, corporations, investors, innovation agencies, and other important ecosystem stakeholders are among the goals of Startup20, according to a formal statement.
This group’s goal is to give startups from G20 member nations a common forum where they can collaborate to develop practical advice on topics like increasing enablers’ capacities, identifying funding gaps, improving employment opportunities, achieving SDG targets and climate resilience, and developing an inclusive ecosystem.
Five different events will be held as part of Startup20. On Saturday and Sunday in Hyderabad, Startup20’s Inception Meet will take place (January 28 and 29).
The summit event will take place in Gurugram in July, and there are three preceeding events scheduled in various locations around the nation.
