The pre-Series A funding round for the ice cream company Go Zero raised $1 million, with participation from angel investors Shantanu Deshpande, Arjun Purkayastha, Nikhil Vora, Krishi Fagwani, and others. The round was led by DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures.
According to a press release from Go Zero, the money will be used to increase its market penetration, improve its production capabilities, fortify its distribution system, and roll out more cutting-edge flavors and product lines.
The company says it will consider increasing its visibility across all important cities and on all e-commerce and quick commerce platforms like Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, Instamart, and Zepto.
Zero-sugar, high-protein, and low-calorie ice creams are among the variety of products offered by the Kiran Shah-founded company. According to the startup, all of its products are sweetened with calorie- and risk-free plant-based sweeteners.
In a growth funding round led by Jungle Ventures in May, Walko Food’s NIC, an ice cream brand and quick-service restaurant (QSR) business, raised $11 million.
