ID healthtech PrimaKu secured undisclosed Pre-series A funding from Northstar Group, AppWorks

According to Muhammad Aditriya Indraputra, co-founder and CEO of PrimaKu, the company was founded in 2017 with the goal of resolving Indonesia’s issues with childhood stunting.

It has developed into a full-stack digital platform for all parenting needs after six years. The startup recently closed a pre-series A funding round led by Northstar Group and AppWorks for an undisclosed sum. BRI Ventures and BIG Ventures are two additional participating investors.

The three main initiatives that PrimaKu offers services for are child growth monitoring, nutrition advice, and vaccination and immunization services. Connecting stakeholders like parents, pediatricians, and healthcare facilities, the platform is estimated to have over 1.2 million users throughout Indonesia.

“What distinguishes PrimaKu is our unwavering commitment to child health monitoring and streamlining the journey for parents in fostering their children’s optimal growth,” Indraputra told media.

Parents can use PrimaKu to schedule vaccinations or use its personalized growth tracker to keep tabs on their children’s important developmental milestones, as examples of its practical use.

According to Indraputra, the startup has a network of more than 150 clinics on its platform and intends to double this number within the next 12 months, extending its reach to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities in Indonesia.

The company intends to expand its distribution of goods and services for parenting requirements with the help of the new funding.

PrimaKu isn’t yet profitable, according to the CEO, but he thinks it has a great deal of potential to open up new sources of income in the future.
