Self-service data analytics and insights platform Lumi AI raised $3.7 M Seed funding

The $3.7 million seed funding round for Lumi AI, a self-service data analytics and insights platform that is revolutionizing how retailers and brands find value in their enterprise resource planning (ERP) data, has closed. AgFunder, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm that specializes in early-stage AI startups addressing supply chain issues, led the round. B2B SaaS investors Forum Ventures, the Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund ADQ, the Qora71 syndicate, and other angel investors also participated.
Businesses with supply chains continue to face challenges with manual, slow analytics processes even after investing billions in business intelligence (BI) tools. Business teams are forced to wait days for insights due to this inefficiency, which burys important financial opportunities in complicated data.
The chat module on Lumi AI’s platform functions as a personal data analyst, allowing users to explore data, create visuals, and extract customized insights using simple language—no coding is required—unlocking hidden value, increasing productivity, and freeing up the go-to data person or people for more strategic endeavors.
Beyond straightforward text-to-SQL solutions, Lumi AI introduces a new class of multi-agent applications intended to simplify repetitive data tasks. It is powered by a proprietary analytics engine and enterprise-grade controls. With the goal of enabling actions and fully utilizing agentic workflows in the future, Lumi AI is capable of handling a broad range of queries, from simple to intricate, even ambiguous, delivering deeper intelligence and establishing a new benchmark for conversational analytics.
“We founded Lumi AI to break down the barriers between businesses and their data. With this funding, we’re accelerating our mission to help companies democratise access to intelligence and transform decision-making at scale,” shares Ibrahim Ashqar, CEO and Co-Founder of Lumi AI. “AgFunder’s expertise in supply chain innovation makes them an ideal partner to help us empower businesses globally to unlock the full potential of their operational data.”
Lumi AI plans to use the money to expand its customer success and engineering teams, speed up feature development, and assist an expanding number of international clients with intricate supply chain datasets. Clients include well-known companies like an F10 retailer, one of the biggest meal kit suppliers in North America, a top-four consulting firm, and the biggest luxury retailer in the MENA area, in addition to mid-sized consumer packaged goods (CPG) and third-party logistics (3PL) companies.
“Lumi AI is transforming the way businesses operate by making analytics accessible to everyone,” states Rob Leclerc, Managing Partner at AgFunder. “I haven’t seen that before – such incredible pull in demand across retail, grocery, manufacturing – any industry with complex supply chains. We’re excited to support their journey.”
