In strategic alliance, Ada buys SingPost’s e-commerce division

Singapore Post Limited’s online business has been bought by Ada, a regional provider of analytics and e-commerce solutions (SingPost).

The purchase, which comprises the resources and personnel of SingPost’s e-commerce division, will increase Ada’s influence in the e-commerce technology sector. In addition to these brands, Ada will be expanding its portfolio with names like Timberland, Anta, and the retail behemoth Landmark Group SEA.

Ada will be able to provide a wider range of services, including integrated media and analytics and e-commerce solutions, thanks to the relocation, which will also bring the company’s total headcount of e-commerce experts to over 300 throughout its core regions.

“The addition of SingPost’s e-commerce arm marks a milestone in Ada’s e-commerce practice expansion plans as we ramp up our end-to-end e-commerce solutions,” says Ada CEO Srinivas Gattamneni in a statement.

Ada provides its services throughout Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Vietnam, and South Korea. The company is mainly owned by Malaysia-listed telecommunications company Axiata. In these ten markets, it presently employs more than 1,000 people.
