Indonesia’s Superkul raised Seed funding from East Ventures
Superkul, an Indonesian last-mile delivery company that specializes in chilled goods, has secured seed investment in a round that was headed by East Ventures for an undisclosed sum.
In order to store items at temperatures between -22 and 10 degrees Celsius, Superkul provides a refrigerated delivery service. Additionally, the firm offers consumers an API interface for delivery tracking, temperature monitoring, and payment assistance.
Chris Wiranata, Eunike Yvonne Hanata, Cathrine Susilowati Prajitno, and Felix Sutanto formed the company in 2020. 4,000 goods, including food, medical, and pharmaceutical products, from more than 231 clients have been delivered since then, according to Superkul.
The fresh funds will be used by the business to scale operations, increase the size of its delivery fleet, recruit more personnel, and strengthen its digital platforms. It operates in the majority of Indonesia’s major cities, primarily Jakarta and Bandung.
The cold chain logistics market in Indonesia has a value of close to US $5 billion in 2017, according to data from Allied Market Research. In 2031, it is now anticipated to expand by a compound annual growth rate of 10.2% to reach US $12.6 billion.
