Israeli cloud management firm Cloudify bought by Dell for $100 M

According to a source briefed on the agreement, global computer giant Dell has bought Israeli cloud management firm Cloudify for between US $70 million and US $100 million.

While the acquisition was not officially announced by Dell, a representative for the computer manufacturer confirmed it to TechCrunch without providing financial details of the transaction. The individual remarked, “This deal enables Dell to develop our edge solutions.

Developers may automate the process of setting up IT infrastructure and making upgrades across various cloud or data center platforms using Cloudify’s platform.

Crunchbase reports that after being split off from New York-based ICT company GigaSpaces Technologies in 2017, Cloudify has only received about US $7 million. Cloudify has investors including VMware, Intel Capital, and KPN Ventures.
