Jago raised $6 M Series A funding from Intudo Ventures, BEENEXT Accelerate

The $6 million Series A funding round for Jago, an Indonesian mobile café company, was completed, the company announced on Wednesday.

According to a statement from Jago, ORZON Ventures and D Global Ventures are involved in the funding, which is headed by Intudo Ventures and BEENEXT Accelerate.

With the funds raised from this round of funding, Jago intends to increase its technology stack investment, open new depots, introduce more carts, and increase service coverage.

As of now, the company covers 7% of Jakarta; by the end of 2024, it hopes to cover as much as 50% of the city.

Jago is developing geospatial machine learning models to prioritize key locations when mapping out its expansion.

The company intends to increase the number of depots it operates from three to fifteen and to 1,500 from 300 carts.

In order to increase cost efficiency, it will upgrade depot hardware, innovate in supply routing and demand forecasting, and invest in upgrading cart hardware.

Jago is a hyperlocal mobile café company that was founded in June 2020 and uses technology to provide Indonesian customers with fresh beverages.

With a fleet of fully electric mobile cafés and professionally trained baristas known as Jagoans, the company provides fresh beverage preparation and delivery within minutes to neighborhoods.

Instant commerce from Jago enables customers who are always on the go to simply approach a cart, place an order, make a payment, and receive their beverage in just a matter of minutes.

Through its hyperlocal coverage, it also provides a delivery model that allows customers to receive freshly made coffee that is of café quality in less than 15 minutes.
