Kerala Startup Mission joined hands with IIMB to encourage women entrepreneurs

Kochi: Seeking to support women entrepreneurs in Kerala to convert their innovative ideas into business ventures, Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) has joined hands with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB).

Through the joint initiative with IIMB’s N S Raghavan Centre of Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL), KSUM will explore the opportunities for women entrepreneurs by forging partnership with premium institutions, a release said here on Wednesday.

The focus of the project, titled ‘Women Startup Programme’, is to enhance entrepreneurial and managerial skills of women leading early and ideation stage ventures.

It will provide business knowledge for the entrepreneurs to build on their ideas in the initial stage through a Massive Open Online Course.

It will then move to offer selected candidates a two-month virtual Launchpad Programme, enabling entrepreneurs to undergo business training to develop their prototype.

Finalists will be selected for an incubation of their products and ideas at NSRCEL, focusing on developing and scaling up their products.

They will also get incubation facility at the Integrated Startup Complex, Kochi, to convert their ideas and products into business ventures, the release added.
