Kerala Startup Mission tops ‘UBI Global’s’ public incubator rankings
Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), the state government’s initiative to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in Kerala, has been ranked as the world’s top public business incubator by UBI Global. UBI is a renowned Stockholm-based research organization that specializes in performance analysis of business incubators and accelerators.
Commenting on this, Joshuah Sowah, head of research at UBI Global said, “KSUM’s incubation programmes demonstrated exceptional value for client start-ups, value for the local ecosystem, and overall attractiveness as a programme. Following a rigorous data-driven approach, we assessed and benchmarked incubation organisations across the world.”
Anoop Ambika, CEO, KSUM, said, “This global honour will help us in bringing more investment to Kerala’s start-up sector. This would also bolster the start-up mission’s efforts to excel further.”

UBI Global assessed over 600 incubators and accelerators in 90 plus countries on the basis of value for ecosystem, their clients and the impact they create. After carefully evaluating, KSUM was chosen as the leading public business incubator.
This is a major achievement for the state as it highlights Kerala’s robust startup ecosystem and the government’s commitment in making sure that entrepreneurship and technological innovation in the region grows.
