Kigali to host annual AWIEF event in November
The annual conference and awards ceremony for the Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF), which will take place in Kigali on November 9–10, have opened for registration.
More than 1,300 entrepreneurs and startups, industry experts, thought leaders, policy influencers, and change-makers from the government, corporate, and development sectors come together on the entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology platform AWIEF for fruitful discussions and dialogue on fresh concepts, initiatives, strategies, and solutions.
For the first time since 2020’s COVID-19 pandemic caused the event to go virtual and hybrid, the AWIEF 2023 event will be entirely in-person.
“We are excited to be bringing the ninth edition of our annual conference to East Africa for the first time and especially Kigali, one of the most exciting cities in Africa right now. We are looking forward to advancing our efforts in connecting the African and global entrepreneurship ecosystem in this significant hub for business, technology, and innovation,” said AWIEF founder and CEO Irene Ochem.
