Kitchenware brand Cumin Co raises $1.5 M from Fireside Ventures

In a round led by Fireside Ventures and including Huddle Ventures, kitchenware company Cumin Co. raised $1.5 million (roughly Rs 13.16 crore) in its first institutional funding round.
Cumin Co. stated in a press release that the money raised would be used to improve the supply chain and increase enamel-based coating production in India.
Founded in February 2025 by Niharika Joshi and Udit Lekhi, Cumin Co. avoids the dangerous chemicals found in conventional non-stick or metal cookware while fusing design and functionality. Prices range from Rs 1,999 to Rs 7,000, and they are aimed at households earning at least Rs 30–35 lakh a year.
Pots and pans made of enamel cast iron that is 100% toxin-free and combines traditional durability with contemporary safety standards are the main focus of the Gurugram-based startup.
The startup uses a direct-to-consumer business model to manage pricing and customer experience, mainly selling its goods on its own website and Amazon. By using materials that are sourced responsibly and packaging that is free of plastic, it integrates sustainability into its supply chain.
According to the brand, its monthly recurring revenue (MRR) has surpassed Rs 1 crore, and it is growing at a rate of 20% month over month (MoM) with high rates of repeat business. It intends to enter a few categories of quick commerce platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart.
Its competitors include Palette Brand’s Ember and Indus Valley, two other well-known startups in this field. Palette Brands raised almost Rs 17 crore in a pre-Series A round led by Rockstud Capital, while Indus Valley raised Rs 23.1 crore in a round led by DSG Ventures.
