Lifestyle brand Terractive raised Rs 8 Cr Pre-series A funding
Terractive, a lifestyle activewear company based in Mumbai, has raised Rs 8 crore in a pre-Series A funding round led by DeVC (Matrix Partners) and Fireside Ventures.
According to a press release from Terractive, the money raised will be used to improve product innovation and expedite fabric development.
Terractive, which Rahee Ambani-Choksi and Raena Ambani co-founded in 2023, transforms activewear by fusing cutting-edge fabric technology with unparalleled comfort. The brand’s dedication to performance and style is demonstrated by signature fabrics like CoolKnit, which is designed for a cooling effect and a premium appearance, and TerraSoft, which has an anti-odor and cotton-like feel. With an emphasis on innovation and quality, Terractive wants to establish itself as the leading brand for high-end daily wear.
Bestsellers like the 365 Men’s Shorts, Activity Skorts, and TerraSoft Cuddle Tees are among Terractive’s unique products, the company claims. By combining cotton-soft textiles with anti-microbial and anti-odor qualities, the brand serves contemporary customers looking for high-end, multipurpose lifestyle apparel.
The Indian fashion and apparel market is anticipated to generate $105.50 billion in revenue by 2024 and grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.35% through 2029, according to market research.
With an emphasis on comfort during everyday movement, Terractive hopes to develop distinctive fabric blends. For example, their best-selling Cool Knit Fabric is anti-microbial, anti-odor, and sweat-patch-free, making it feel and look like high-quality cotton with a surprisingly cool interior.
In the meantime, the company says that over 25,000 people have purchased its Cuddle Tee line.
In this market, it faces competition from brands like Cukoo, Carbontree, and Blissclub, among others.
