Lightspeed and First Round Capital co-led Thena’s $5 M Seed funding round
Thena, a platform for customer communications and intelligence, has raised $5 million in a seed round of funding that was jointly led by Lightspeed and First Round Capital.
The company had previously raised $2.2 million in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Pear VC and Tenacity Venture Capital, bringing their total funding to $7.2 million.
According to a press release from Thena, the additional funds will be used to intensify product innovation and company expansion.
Thena is a company that Ankit Saxena, Govind Kavaturi, Mike Molinet, and Unmukt Raizada co-founded in April 2022. Thena’s product addresses the biggest problems with Slack and other messaging platforms by allowing them to be used at scale for business-to-business customer communications. Previously a manual process, it now offers analytics and insights into how customers are interacting with a business. Through integrations with internal tools like Zendesk, HubSpot, and Salesforce, it also addresses the issue of connection.
Thena claims that its AI models combine data from various communication channels, giving businesses access to their own customized models that empower them to make customer-focused decisions at scale and boost their bottom line. The business acts as a bridge between B2B organizations and their messaging platforms, transforming them from simple messaging tools to effective communication platforms that can boost performance in sales, marketing, and customer support.
Branch, Embrace, Mixpanel, WorkRamp, and Spotdraft are a few of Thena’s clients.
