Lumikai led $2 M Seed funding secured by puzzle gaming studio QuriousBit

A $2 million seed funding round, led by Lumikai Fund with participation from General Catalyst, has been secured by the puzzle gaming studio QuriousBit.

According to a press release from QuriousBit, the money will be used to develop unique puzzle games and build a casual mobile gaming studio.

Ramakrishna Reddy Y L and Shubham Joshi co-founded QuriousBit in July 2023 to produce top-notch casual puzzle games for mobile platforms. The company wants to create games with intricate game mechanics, a compelling story, and a unique gaming experience.

The Bengaluru-based startup claims that its goal is to imitate playbook puzzle games across various sub-genres in the untapped and unjustified casual gaming market. Rich narratives, customized gaming experiences, innovation in fundamental metagames, and deft distribution tactics will be the main focus of QuriousBit.

Some of the top game developers, such as Bombay Play, Loco, Elo Elo, Studio Sirah, Supernova, and others, have received support from Lumikai. A $50 million corpus from international investors is the goal of the second fund that the gaming and interactive media fund recently launched. Pre-seed to series A investments will be made from the fund to the founders of gaming and interactive media companies.
