MetaverseGo’s $4.2 M Seed round supported by YGG, BreedarDAO
A seed round headed by Galaxy Interactive garnered $4.2 million for the Philippines-based play-to-earn mobile gaming platform MetaverseGo.
Delphi Digital, Dragonfly Capital, Yield Guild Games, BreederDAO, and Akatsuki were other investors in the round.
The funds will be used to create software, hire personnel, and secure partnerships with telecom companies, the business stated in a statement.
Ash Mandhyan, Jake San Diego, and JC Velasquez founded MetaverseGo with the goal of enabling access to Web3 games without the requirement for cryptocurrency knowledge.
“MetaverseGo is solving this by making Web3 games accessible via a technology that everyone knows how to use: a mobile phone number,” said Mandhyan, who also serves as the company’s CEO.
Currently, MetaverseGo credits—which can be acquired by playing NFT games on its platform—may be used for a variety of purposes, including paying for mobile data, monthly services, and gift cards.
