Nabhdrishti Aerospace raised Rs 3 Cr Pre-seed funding from IIMA Ventures

IIMA Ventures (formerly IIMA-CIIE) led the pre-seed round of funding for deeptech startup Nabhdrishti Aerospace, which brought in Rs 3 crore.

As per the company’s press release, the funds will be utilized to develop a fuel flex combustor prototype by conducting extensive testing on the fuel injector and combustor. This will allow the business to demonstrate its exclusive fuel flex technology.

Designs with power outputs between 300 and 1,000 SHP and higher will come after this.

Rohit Chouhan and Arjun Srivatsa founded Nabhdrishti Aerospace in 2023 with the goal of designing and developing gas turbine engines. The company’s first model, a 350 SHP turbo-prop engine, is intended for use in aviation and power generation.

According to the company, clean fuel compatibility and increased efficiency will be made possible by the fuel flexibility of the micro gas turbine (MGT) engines that will be developed and produced.

A 275 KW turbogenerator will be the first product, ND 350. When combined with a propeller, this same core is said to produce 350 SHP, which is sufficient to power hybrid electric VTOLs (vertical take-off and landing) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Manufacturer of aerospace components JJG Aero, located in Bengaluru, raised $12 million earlier this month from CX Partners. In a seed funding round headed by General Catalyst, Jeh Aerospace raised $2.75 million in January.
