New generation food and beverage firm Ninecamp Ventures raised $2 M Seed funding
A new generation food and beverage company called Ninecamp Ventures has raised $2 million (about Rs 16 crore) from well-known angel investors and non-institutional investors in its seed round.
A group of prestigious investors participated in the funding round, including the co-founders of Zomato, Mohit and Gaurav Gupta; the creators of MamaEarth, Varun and Ghazal Alagh; the founders of Cars 24; Atul Singh, the former chairman of Coca-Cola Asia Pacific; Dharmil Sheth, the co-founder of PharmEasy; Utsav Somani, the former AngelList; Ritesh Kumar, the director of DS Group; and Aaditya Mittal, the founder of Punnya.
The money raised will be put toward hiring top talent, buying premium real estate, growing its portfolio of brands, and funding the creation of novel ideas and goods.
Ninecamp, founded by Chaitanya Mathur, aims to develop brands that reflect the changing market and the desires of Indian consumers. The company aims to launch a new wave of experiential dining, crafting brands for and from India, with a primary focus on global standard offerings in product, service, design, and ingredients.
For those who are unaware, Mathur was instrumental in bringing Zomato to life by founding Zomaland.
At Two Horizon Center in Gurugram, the company opened its first restaurant, Marièta, in April of this year. It is a Latin American-inspired restaurant and bar.
