Palestine’s TAP raised $1 M funding to scale AI-powered platform

In order to accelerate its cutting-edge job-hunting platform, TAP, a Palestinian-Dutch company committed to generating transformative remote employment opportunities for marginalized youth, has successfully raised $1 million. A group of impact angel investors contributed to the funding round, which was led by Invest International in the Netherlands.

“Palestinian youth have shown that when systemic barriers are removed, their resilience and brilliance transform into flourishing opportunities. Now, we’re developing smarter, scalable solutions using AI to empower users to own their journey, leveraging their motivation and resourcefulness to secure meaningful careers. We are amplifying our impact in Palestine and expanding across the region,” said Christian, co-founder and CEO of TAP.

The foundation of TAP’s mission is the belief that everyone can find fulfilling work and help create a better future for themselves and their community if given the right tools.

In Palestine, a region plagued by systematic injustice and occupation that has led to the marginalization of young people, TAP has experienced notable growth. By 2024, the company had more than doubled its number of remote jobs from 30 to 40 in 2023 to over 100. TAP continues to provide and scale transformative opportunities for high-potential individuals throughout Palestine, despite the difficulties of operating in such a volatile environment. Since early 2024, the business has also grown in Lebanon and Jordan, tackling comparable job issues in these regions.

Having grown up in Beirut and witnessed the limited opportunities available, Marc, TAP’s Head of Operations, who now lives in Berlin, said: ‘What started as a solution to empower youth in Palestine has evolved into a model that is expanding to the rest of MENA, where youth are equally marginalized and held back by systemic barriers

“Jobs are the ultimate equaliser, especially remote jobs—they break down barriers and level the playing field, no matter the circumstances or local limitations,” said Jafar, co-founder and CTO of TAP, who was born and raised in Nablus, Palestine, where he continues to live and innovate.

Early in 2024, the TAP team began developing a platform for AI-driven job creation. The platform’s goal is to enable young people to take charge of their job searches, create international networks, and land fulfilling remote jobs. This innovative platform, which is also directly accessible to people looking for efficient job-hunting solutions, is currently being tested through pilot projects with three top education NGOs. The region’s urgent need for scalable solutions is highlighted by the rising demand for TAP’s programs.

“The underlying technology and core concepts driving our platform are consistently proving their effectiveness. We could be on the cusp of creating transformative change. Our AI-driven tools have the potential to revolutionise how underserved youth access opportunities—not just in Palestine, Jordan, or Lebanon, but worldwide,” said Tabea, TAP’s Head of Product, based in Berlin.

TAP plans to create 1,000 jobs by 2025 with the launch of its AI-powered job-hunting platform and the growth of partnerships throughout the region. This ambitious goal is based on the priceless experience TAP has accumulated over the last few years.

In Gaza and the West Bank, TAP has emerged as a driving force for social and economic resilience. The TAP team continues to fulfill its mission in spite of the terrible difficulties that Palestine faces today. Members of the team, including those operating in temporary settings in Gaza, never stop adding value and making a significant impact on their communities.

TAP is a grassroots tech movement that inspires hope and creates opportunities, not just a business. TAP has onboarded more than 1,000 mentors from around the world in the last year, prepared to mentor, support, and link young people to opportunities around the world.

“We are building a movement to challenge the systemic injustices that lock young people out of opportunities. With every supporter, we grow stronger—and we won’t stop until a future where opportunity is accessible to all becomes a reality,” Christian reaffirmed.
