Quebec Technologies is an Information Technology Company that provides Website Development, Web Hosting, Cross-Platform Mobile Application Development, and Software Development. The company was founded with the goal of providing technology benefits at a lower cost than the competitors in the sector with a vision to enhance the digital and technical reach for every individual business that could take advantage of the technology.
Incubees: Tell us about your journey and what made you launch Quebec Technologies?
Adith: As the corona pandemic hit the aviation sector, it was hard to seek opportunities in the sector and the job opportunities came down to zero. I’m someone who is an admirer of technology for a long time and it was always a dream for me to be a CEO and have my own company apart from being a pilot. During the pandemic, I wanted to do something great instead of passing the time. So I started learning to code, web development, and other basic technology skills and I researched many pathways on how to start a business and thought it wasn’t my cup of tea. But the words from Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and Space X, “I think it is possible for ordinary people to choose to be extraordinary”, motivated me to choose to be extraordinary and challenge myself. That’s when I decided to launch Quebec Technologies amidst all the challenges. Moreover everything, it’s the constant support, motivation, uplifting by the most important and valuable person in my life throughout without whom It wouldn’t happen and my friend who came up to be my partner to make this come true. It’s been 7 months since we have launched Quebec Technologies and we successfully enhanced our business reach to clients in Dubai and Australia.
Incubees: What are the services offered by Quebec Technologies? And how do you think your services are unique considering how vast the market is today?
Adith: We offer Website Development, Website Hosting, Cross-Platform Mobile, Application Development, Software Development and are currently in the ideation stage of a major project. If one wants to touch their hands in the technology field, it is expensive for the expected Quality they wish for, so that small scale business owners are not able to take advantage of the opportunities and the easement technology provides.
We started the company with the vision of providing technology benefits to every individual regardless of the price they can afford with the Quality and features they yearn for. That’s how we are unique from the competitors by providing the technology benefits to everyone by not compromising the quality of the service they receive.
Incubees: Launching a new business can come with risks, what were the challenges you faced?
Adith: Nothing great ever comes easily, everything comes with challenges and risks. It’s how we face and find the solutions to go through these, makes us stronger to move forward no matter what. When we have to start something from the scratch there are a lot of challenges, we have to face initially it’s the people of our surroundings demotivating us, trying to convince us not to start a business, and the belittling we have to face from the people having a mind-set that we will be a millionaire within a day. I found this as most challenging to overcome. The next challenge was the hardship to find the clients especially in the time of pandemic waves. As businesses are climbing back up after the covid hit, they were not ready to have additional expenditure for their digital presence. We were waiting for a breakthrough to showcase our skills and the great services we provide and fortunately, after a month we got the first client to show what we are and we did it! We did it! Now we have permanent clients and contracts we have signed for a long period. The other challenge was to find the employees who are loyal to us, who is willing to work hard for the growth as a team moreover, who will be a valuable family member to our company. Launching a new business comes with lots of risks and the main risk is raising the capital for the start-up. We never know what and how everything is going to be in a business. So investing in a new business with our hard-earned savings comes with a lot of risks and dilemmas. But if we are loyal, determined, passionate, and hardworking in what we do there is nothing that is going to stop us from what we want to achieve, we can always eradicate the risks as no matter what we will always strive forward fighting for the company. It is always ‘Take the risk or lose the chance and it is up to you to come out of the comfort zone to strive for what you want.
Incubees: Tell us your views on the increasing use of social media and how it has increased business opportunities along with the ability to target the consumer base?
Adith: The increasing usage of social media has a great impact on everything going around the world. It updates us with current affairs, helps people to connect with their loved ones around the globe instantly. I would say that staying connected and sharing what is going on has been so easy with the rise of social media but, everything has its advantages and disadvantages and I recommend everyone to use its advantage to the maximum because it is a great platform to learn, to know and to grow. For the business part, Social Media is the major game-changer. No one in the universe doesn’t use or know about the social media platform and the increasing use of these platforms has benefited businesses all over the globe. When we started our company, we wanted people to know there exists our company providing the mentioned services and it is impossible to get a wider reach without these social media platforms. When we want to share it to our circle about our company, resharing it again too many people and when a business wants specific technology-based works, it’s difficult for them to find a company that does the specific works they are looking for and it was all made possible by the usage of social media. The presence of our services in social media is our backbone as everyone relies on social media presently.
Incubees: Tell us about your team and what keeps them going?
Adith: Meet our Family: Our Family comprises me- Adith Baiju, I’m the CEO of this company along with Mariam Ridha, who is the Chief Creative Officer and also a successful established Author of the book ‘The Light Of Sparks”; Reol Raju, our Chief Operating Officer who is an Electronics and Communication engineer, Sanjay our Chief Technology Officer who is a Computer Engineer and 6 other employees working as Website Developers, Mobile Application Developers, UI/UX Designers.
We have created a jovial atmosphere where everyone is entitled to express their opinions. We make sure that everyone’s opinion is valued when we have to make business decisions as I have already said we are functioning how a family is like. Everyone in our team is valued as nothing will be strong without a good foundation and a team. We make sure that everyone is happy, satisfied and if they are not, we mitigate the issues by talking to them, knowing them, understanding their needs, and everything. The way we function openly as a family, rather than injecting the hierarchy onto them. We take care of them throughout as valuable members which keeps them going, motivates them, makes them relaxed rather than stressed in this friendly atmosphere we have for everyone.
Incubees: What would you like to address to the budding Entrepreneurs?
Adith: When everything comes to a point where you don’t know what to do, don’t be sad or get depressed. Always know that the brightest side is at a one-arm distance from you, you just have to look for it. There are no perfect moments in our lives to start anything, you have to take the moment and make it perfect. Always be loyal, determined to what you do and nothing can stop you from achieving what is yours. There will be many people who will try to knock you down with their words, making you feel unworthy but always keep in mind they say that because you are on the path to being successful and always move forward with a strong spirit, defeat the obstacles on your journey as nothing great doesn’t come to us easily with no challenges.
