3one4 Capital led $2.2 M Seed funding raised by casual gaming studio HighXP

HighXP, a developer of casual video games, has raised $2.2 million in seed funding, which was led by 3one4 Capital and included Prime Venture Partners and Gemba Capital. Rahul Bhardwaj, Anuj Tandon, and Giri Patil, three angel investors, also took part in the round.

HighXP plans to grow its team across all functions and invest in new talent with the additional funds. The investment, according to the Bengaluru-based company, will be essential in boosting the popularity of HighXP’s first game, Doodle Me, which is available for free on the Google Play store and the Apple Store, as well as helping the studio release more games.

HighXP is a casual gaming studio founded by Shankara Seethappa and Raghu Sankar that specializes in developing social games that offer players all over the world a fun and enjoyable experience. It wants to create engrossing social-casual games that appeal to a broad audience. Doodle Me, the company’s first game, is a social drawing and guessing game for players 5 and older.

Over 1.2 billion people play casual games each year, with 58.86% of them playing games on mobile devices, according to a SuperData industry report.

Early-stage venture capital firm 3one4 Capital closed its fourth fund last month for $200 million.  The fund, which has supported startups including Licious, Loantap, Koo, Darwinbox, and Open, plans to invest in 30-35 businesses with checks ranging from $500K to $6-7M.
