Remaining stakes in Frangipani acquired by GOAT Brand Labs

The founders of the Mumbai-based children’s clothing company Frangipani sold their remaining shares to G.O.A.T Brand Labs, which is backed by Tiger Global and Flipkart Ventures.

According to a press release from the company, the founders of Frangipani and G.O.A.T Brand Labs will pool their resources to grow the brand’s recognition across India and internationally. The founders will receive assistance from G.O.A.T Brand Labs in a variety of areas, including technology, working capital management, and channel expansion.

Frangipani is a brand of loungewear and nightwear for kids that was established in 2012 by Sunaina Patel and Mansi Kilachand. The business asserts that its products are made and sourced locally and incorporate an international design philosophy.

Direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands are purchased by and scaled by G.O.A.T Brand Labs. Chumbak, a home and lifestyle brand, was one of five direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands purchased by the e-commerce roll-up company in January of this year. Chumbak, The Label Life, Pepe Inner Fashion, trueBrowns, Abhishti, Neemli Naturals, Breakbounce, NutriGlow, Voylla, and Imara are among its portfolio of brands.
