Requestly acquired by BrowserStack for undisclosed amount

For an undisclosed sum, BrowserStack purchased Requestly, a tool for debugging, mocking, and HTTP interception.
Requestly, which was founded by Sachin Jain, helps frontend developers to expedite testing processes by allowing them to intercept, alter, and mock API requests right in the browser.
More than 10,000 businesses and more than 200,000 developers use the tool. Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India and SEA) and Y Combinator have invested $125,000 in the open-source startup Requestly.
With the support of Accel, BrowserStack announced that Requestly will continue to function autonomously and be open-source after the acquisition, utilizing BrowserStack’s resources to expedite development.
In addition to expanding its functionality to support HTTP interception on iOS simulators and Android emulators, Requestly will remain free and open source.
The purchase supports BrowserStack’s initiatives to improve its suite of developer productivity tools. The business unveiled a testing platform driven by AI in February with the goal of streamlining QA processes.
