Med-tech startup Innovodigm raised Rs 5.5 Cr Seed funding from IAN Group

The IAN Group led a seed funding round for the medical technology startup Innovodigm, which raised Rs 5.5 crore. PadUp Ventures invested the remaining sum after IAN contributed Rs 4.5 crore.

According to a press release from Innovodigm, the money raised will be used for team growth, infrastructure scaling, and process optimization in order to support third-party preclinical validation and get ready for future clinical trials.

Innovodigm, a company co-founded in 2020 by Jhimli Manna and Ayan Chatterjee, creates vaccine micro-array patches that provide a revolutionary substitute for conventional injectable vaccinations. The MAP uses thermostabilized vaccines that can survive for up to 120 days at 40°C, removing the need for refrigeration and facilitating outreach to underserved, remote areas. This approach was developed to address issues like cold-chain dependency, medical waste, and needlestick injuries.

According to Innovodigm, the MAP platform has received a lot of attention, including being named one of the Top 2 Technologies at the Ministry of Electronics & IT’s Nano Electronics Showcase 2025. Clinical trials are set to start next year, and the company has inked a Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) for third-party validation with a top Indian vaccine manufacturer.

“Spinning out from IIT Kharagpur’s Microelectronics and MEMS Lab has been fundamental to our scientific foundation. Our MAP platform reflects India’s ability to lead in affordable, scalable vaccine delivery that serves both national and global public health goals,” said Jhimli Manna, CEO of Innovodigm.

Measles, hepatitis, flu, and COVID-19 boosters are among the vaccines that Innovodigm hopes to adapt its patch for as it expands throughout India and other low- and middle-income nations. To make patches closer to the areas where they are most needed, the company is also constructing local manufacturing hubs.
