Salica Spring Studios leads $550K Pre-seed funding for wellness app Better
Better, MENA’s first men’s wellness startup, has announced that, within a month of going live, it has raised a $550,000 pre-seed round led by Salica Spring Studios’ fund, which is supported by Salica Investments and Al Waha Fund of Funds, as well as Plus VC (+VC), the region’s most active venture capital firm.
Better was founded by Walid Dib and Hassanain Anver with the goal of using a variety of proprietary supplements and compounded prescriptions to address the multibillion dollar critical issues in men’s physical health.
Dib stated that the money will be utilized to broaden Better’s product line, which will include the launch of male supplements and prescription drugs that are specifically tailored to each individual. The subscription-based startup manufactures its prescription drugs in the United Arab Emirates. Better intends to introduce a prescription drug that will help address delicate intimacy and hair loss issues by offering efficient, personalized substitutes for conventional therapies.
“Wellness shouldn’t be a luxury—it’s the right of every man in the Middle East. Our team at Better will prove this to be true.” Dib said.
“Since our launch just a month ago, there has been a significant surge in demand for our products, which has resulted in many clients signing up with Better,” he added.
