Saudi foodtech Yalla Plus raised $2.7 M Seed funding from Merak Capital, angel investors

Yalla Plus, a startup based in Riyadh, has successfully closed its seed investment round, raising SAR 10 million ($2.7 million). Merak Capital led the round, and angel investors from the US and the Middle East joined it, along with Khwarizmi Ventures and Isometry Capital.

established in 2022 by successful tech entrepreneur Abdullah Alrabeh and venture capitalist and entrepreneur Bader Alnasser. With its extensive tech platform for cafes and restaurants, Yalla Plus hopes to be the technological enabler for the hospitality and restaurant industry. The business offers a POS system that is integrated and includes delivery options, customer feedback processing, and payment management.

The system from Yalla Plus provides in-depth data analytics to improve performance and operational efficiency. With a target of reaching 100,000 entrepreneurs in 50 countries in the Middle East, Europe, and Southeast Asia, the company currently provides services to thousands of entrepreneurs in 11 different countries.

Co-founder and CEO Abdullah Alrabeh emphasized that Yalla Plus was created to empower hospitality industry entrepreneurs, drawing inspiration from the creative atmosphere created by Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. He outlined their objective to keep expanding by creating potent software that helps business owners and entrepreneurs around the world expand.

With the help of top Saudi and international talent, the company hopes to become a Saudi tech giant that in the next five years will support 100,000 entrepreneurs.
