Sayurbox, an Indonesian agritech firm slashed staff by 5%
Due to global socioeconomic difficulties, Sayurbox, an Indonesian agritech company, has let go of 5% of its workforce.
The firm explained the choice in a statement as part of its attempts to establish “financial independence” and “sustainable long-term growth.”
In accordance with local laws, affected employees will also get health insurance, compensation packages, and a mentorship program to assist them in finding new employment.
A farm-to-table distribution platform for fresh vegetables, Sayurbox was established in 2017. It provides more than 5,000 items, including fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry, snacks, and prepared foods.
The company was founded by Rama Notowidigdo, a former executive of Gojek, Metha Trisnawati, a fellow Alibaba founder, and Amanda Susanti.
Earlier this year, Northstar and Alpha JWC Ventures led a series C fundraising round in which Sayurbox raised US $120 million.
