Schema Ventures launched by Aarthi Ramamurthy with $20 M fund

With a $20 million fund, Aarthi Ramamurthy founded Schema Ventures, a venture capital firm.

Her posts on X and LinkedIn state that the fund will assist early-stage businesses that were started by “exceptional outsider founders.” Ramamurthy has founded two startups in the past.

Schema Ventures will concentrate on early-stage businesses in industries like developer tools, construction and logistics, robotics and intelligence for factories, industrial software, and workflow intelligence.

The fund, according to Ramamurthy, who has led product and tech teams at Microsoft, Netflix, and Meta, seeks to support founders who are building from lived experience rather than “pedigree or proximity.”

Her spouse, Sriram Krishnan, a former general partner at Andreessen Horowitz and current senior AI policy advisor at the White House, co-founded a Clubhouse show in 2020. The Good Time Show, which featured prominent guests like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, featured candid discussions about cryptocurrencies, venture capital, and startups.

After moving to YouTube, the program changed its name to The Aarthi and Sriram Show. By early 2023, it had over one million downloads and landed a podcast deal with iHeartMedia.
