Second edition of CcHub, Mastercard Foundation ed-tech fellowship invites applications in Nigeria

The second iteration of the Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Program in Nigeria is now accepting applications.

As reported by the media in February 2023, CcHub announced that it would be launching an ed-tech accelerator initiative worth US $15 million in Kenya and Nigeria as part of a new partnership with the Mastercard Foundation under the Mastercard Foundation Ed-Tech Fellowship Programme.

In 2023, the fellowship awarded seed funding to 12 startups in Nigeria and 12 in Kenya. Over the following two years, the fellowship plans to expand its support to 36 ed-tech companies.

The fellowship’s Nigerian iteration is currently in its second year, and it is seeking fresh ideas from startups with ed-tech solutions that have the potential to transform education from preschool to the workplace.

Startups need to be incorporated in Nigeria with an emphasis on Africa. Challenges in K–12, formal and informal education, school administration, higher education, corporate learning, and vocational skills training should all be addressed by their solutions.

After completing the accelerator program, the fellows from the 2024 cohort will have access to a pool of investors, professional advice, coaching, and mentoring, as well as networking opportunities. Additionally, they will obtain $100,000 in equity-free funding.

Applications are open till February 17.
