Second edition of Injini Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship invites applications
The second iteration of the Injini Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship in South Africa is now accepting applications. Selected companies will have access to financial resources and other forms of assistance.
Injini is a registered non-profit organization that was founded in 2017 and is a part of the UVU Africa Group. Its primary goal is to enhance educational outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa. The Injini Think Tank, Africa’s only specialized accelerator for edtech, conducts research and offers programs that support its mission to improve education in the region by making it more relevant, high-quality, and accessible.
The EdTech Fellowship for South African startups was launched by Injini in collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation, as reported by the media in the previous year. Through direct grant funding, product quality evaluation, intensive skill development, coaching, mentorship, bespoke market research, and market access, the initiative empowers qualified startups.

This success has provided us with valuable insights that are shaping our strategy as we gear up to welcome applications for the 2024 programme,” said Krista Davidson, executive director of Injini.
Applications for the second edition of the programme are open until February 13.
