Admission startup Ambitio raised $2 M Seed funding

In a seed funding round led by BLinC Invest, admissions startup Ambitio has raised $2 million, with Ritu Bapna and other investors also participating.
The startup had previously raised $187K from First Check and other investors in the same round.
According to a press release from Ambitio, the new funding will be used to scale their distribution channels and make technological investments to give students the greatest experience possible.
Dirghayu Kaushik and Vikrant Shivalik co-founded Ambitio, an AI-powered admissions platform, in 2022. It gives students a very individualized admissions experience by fusing the knowledge of previous applicants with the perspectives of alumni experts.
The Bengaluru-based business claims that it uses more than 10 million data points to produce insightful, personalized insights for every student and gives them access to admission specialists for one-on-one help. The platform’s only goal is to assist students in getting accepted into the top universities in the world.
Ambitio uses artificial intelligence (AI) to evaluate more than a million successful applications, develop a customized plan, and match students with universities based on actual admission data. The startup makes use of its in-house matching algorithm, which has been trained on more than 50,000 academic programs. Higher acceptance rates, better opportunities, and a more intelligent course of action result from its ability to identify schools that complement a student’s interests, career aspirations, and academic accomplishments.
Ambitio says its students have been accepted into dozens of prestigious universities, including Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, and Oxford. Additionally, it promises to apply dependability and knowledge in a customized way, increasing admissions chances to prestigious universities by more than five times.
Over the next two years, the company hopes to assist more than 500,000 students in obtaining international education. Its competitors include MiMEssay, Gradvine, and Yocket, among other startups in this field.
