Sendhelper acquired by PropertyGuru for undisclosed amount
PropertyGuru, a large proptech company located in Singapore, has purchased Sendhelper, a local platform for home services, for an unknown price.
Sendhelper, a website that links homes with vetted service providers offering repair, cleaning, and other services, was founded by Rupam Biswas, Bogdan Metehoiu, and Max Loosen in 2018.
On its platform, Sendhelper presently has over 2,000 qualified and vetted independent contractors.
PropertyGuru’s purchase comes as the proptech company works to provide homeowners with a comprehensive array of options. The group’s users will have access to PropertyGuru Finance as well as tools for finding, purchasing, and managing their real estate assets.
With more than 3.5 million real estate listings spread across five Southeast Asian regions, PropertyGuru was established in 2007 by Steve Melhuish and Jani Rautiainen. Using a SPAC merger with Bridgetown 2 Holdings and an equity value of around US $1.8 billion, the company went public on the New York Stock Exchange in March.
