The Singapore-based fund manager Clime Capital, which aims to hasten the low-carbon transition, announced that it has invested in Ampotech, a Singapore-based company that offers energy management solutions and operates in Vietnam.
With an initial focus on market growth in Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, the investment, made possible by the Southeast Asia Clean Energy Fund II (SEACEF II), will support Ampotech’s regional expansion in Southeast Asia, the two companies said in a statement.
Through smarter energy management, Ampotech’s artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled internet of things (IoT) solutions help commercial and industrial clients achieve significant energy efficiency.
When compared to integrating commercial off-the-shelf products, the company’s proprietary applications, data platform, and integrated devices offer cost, performance, and cybersecurity advantages.
Because vertical integration allows for quick support and reconfiguration in response to changing customer needs, these benefits compound over the course of a project.
“We are excited to partner with Clime Capital for our next phase of growth. Our ambition is to be Southeast Asia’s leading energy management company,
“We believe Clime Capital’s knowledge, market presence, and portfolio of energy companies across Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines will unlock new opportunities and accelerate our growth,” Ampotech Chief Executive Officer William Temple said.
Clime Capital’s Investments Principal, Namrata Singh, stated that the company is thrilled to announce its investment in Ampotech, a leader in Southeast Asia’s energy management market.
“Ampotech’s IoT solutions enable smart management of energy consumption for commercial and industrial consumers across Southeast Asia – fulfilling Clime Capital’s goal to accelerate the low-carbon transition in the region,” he added.
Ampotech uses internet of things solutions powered by AI to manage the electrified world.
The Singapore-based company specializes in energy-intensive industries and the built environment.
In order to help businesses manage distributed energy resources and save energy, it has deployed tens of thousands of connected devices and collaborates with energy services, renewable energy, real estate, and manufacturing companies.
The fund management firm Clime Capital is based in Singapore and is registered with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
