Social app for cricket enthusiasts Offside raised $150K Pre-seed funding from 100X.VC
Pre-seed funding of $150K has been raised by Offside, a social app for cricket enthusiasts, from 100X.VC.
According to a press release from the company, Offside plans to use the proceeds to continue growing and will soon reach 500,000 users.
Offside, which was founded by Shivam Jha and Rishav, gives cricket fans a place to mingle with other supporters. The app provides a wide range of features, such as curated cricket content, lively communities, live match updates, interactive discussions, and a variety of free-to-play cricket games and competitions.
With 50,000 users during the most recent World Cup, the startup claims to have already shown traction. Over the last three months, the daily engagement time of the app’s user base has exceeded thirty minutes, indicating that they are engaged.
This year, early-stage venture capital firm 100X.VC has backed several startups. Among the companies on the list are Roopya, 50Fin, Minifeel, Vodex, ThinkMetal, Luzo, Dr. Mantra, and abCoffee. The fund was established using a cohort-based investment model, and its first batch of 20 early-stage startups was announced in December 2019.
