Social networking app O hi raised $1 M Pre-series A funding
The pre-Series A round of the social networking app O hi, which was led by JIIF and featured participation from a number of well-known angel investors, raised Rs 8 crore (roughly $1 million).
The money raised will be utilized to improve the product and incorporate an AI-powered profiling tool.
Established by Adeeti and Rupal, O hi leverages in-person human interaction in physical spaces to create digital rooms in coffee shops, airports, and hotels, forming a real-world network of celebrity, wealth, and recognition.
Ohi has been extended an invitation by the Welsh Government to establish its platform in the UK, with a soft launch scheduled for July 2024. The Welsh Government is also offering resources and support to assist Ohi in breaking into the UK market.
The startup creates virtual chat rooms for establishments such as coffee shops, airport lounges, and hotels to foster human communities offline.
In just the last 45 days, the company claims to have doubled down on the user base it had previously acquired in 24 months, and it is poised to reach the next milestone.
O Hi spent more than 24 months in the product development phase and is currently in beta testing, with over 800,000 users.
