South Korean edutech startup Ringle backed by Do Ventures

Do Ventures, a South Korean early-stage venture capital firm, has invested in Ringle, a premium online English teaching service that links students with teachers from top colleges in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The funds will be used to grow the edutech startup’s market in Vietnam. The funds will also be used to improve the company’s AI platform.

Ringle, which was founded in 2015, claims to assist students in achieving a high level of English proficiency. Instructors utilise Ringle Docs, a Ringle-developed product that allows tutors to fix users’ English in real-time, during classes. The corrections are provided during and after the classes, assisting users with initial comprehension as well as post-class evaluation.

After each class, Ringle uses speech-to-text technology to create a script of the dialogue and gives a tape of the interaction for students to examine.

AI is also employed by the firm to analyse students’ speech speed, vocabulary range, and frequently used words and phrases, aiding with diagnosis and increasing learning efficiency.

The majority of Ringle’s current customers are professionals pursuing progress in their careers and high school students interested in studying abroad.

There are over 1,300 active instructors on the platform, 950 lesson materials, and a large collection of video and snackable content. Since its introduction, Ringle has amassed over 100,000 users throughout the world.
