Space-tech startup Omspace raises $3 M Pre-seed funding

A family office and an angel investor have contributed $3 million to the pre-seed funding round for Omspace Rocket and Exploration, an Indian space-tech startup housed at CrAdLE (Centre for Advancing & Launching Enterprises).

According to a press release from Omspace, the money will be used to strengthen manufacturing infrastructure and ground systems, hire specialized talent, grow its research and development team, and finalize and start test launches of the Infinity One prototype.

Infinity One, Omspace’s flagship invention, was co-founded in 2020 by Ravindra Raj Binod Mistri, Maulik Mota, and Stutika Padamshali. Its goal is to transport payloads weighing roughly 350 kg to altitudes of up to 800 km. The launch system is designed to provide a dependable launch solution for India’s expanding space-tech industry, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and fuel efficiency.

Through the development of reusable launch vehicles for small and nano satellites, the Ahmedabad-based startup hopes to increase access to space. It aims to open up space exploration to developing nations.

“This funding is a major milestone in our mission to democratise access to space from India. We are deeply thankful to CrAdLE and EDII for believing in our vision and enabling us with the resources, mentorship, and environment to take bold leaps,” said Mistry.

With a first commercial launch scheduled for January 2028, Omspace says it has recently increased its global footprint through its UAE branch, OSRE FZC.
