Staffing platform Weploy raised $5 M from Skymind Global Ventures
Staffing platform Weploy, located in Australia, has received $5 million in financing from Skymind Global Ventures to support its operations in Vietnam.
The company wants to help businesses in Vietnam, where it can be difficult to find a lot of seasonal workers, by bringing its digital employment model from Australia.
On March 2, the Weploy app was formally released in Vietnam. For companies using its platform to hire temporary workers, the firm claimed it will conduct applicant interviews and provide training sessions.
According to Weploy Vietnam, it already has a network of 250 vetted companies that provide roughly 9,000 seasonal jobs.
Weploy is a platform that enables on-demand employment and workforce management. It was founded in 2017 by Tony Wu, Vince Luong, and Nick La. Steve Trang will be in charge of the company’s Vietnam operations.
Weploy claimed that hundreds of customers in Australia had utilised its services, including Volkswagen, Super Retail Group, Medibank, and OVO Energy.
