Thailand’s Sivadon Logistics acquired by Amilo to accelerate growth
The Singapore-based logistics company Amilo announced that it has acquired Sivadon Logistics in Thailand.
This acquisition, according to a statement from Amilo, represents a critical turning point in the company’s expansion.
Known for having a wide-ranging national logistics network in Thailand, Sivadon Logistics is expected to support Amilo’s current network and operational capabilities.
“Thailand is pivotal for us as we support our customers expanding within one of Asia’s most dynamic regions.
“The acquisition of Sivadon Logistics provides us with an extensive network and a stellar team, enhancing our ability to not only help international brands enter Thailand but also support Thai small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to go global with our already established cross border products,” said Arun Mambully, Chief Executive Officer of Amilo.
It states that Amilo’s ultimate goal is to make Southeast Asia (SEA) a single market by offering a robust, regionally-specific logistics platform that prioritizes operations. Through its cross-border delivery services, the company offers easy access to local transportation and delivery, warehousing and fulfillment, and international expansion. Initially, the company concentrated on Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, and now Thailand.
“We are excited to join forces with Amilo. This acquisition marks a new chapter for Sivadon Logistics, allowing us to leverage Amilo’s extensive network,
“We look forward to continuing our legacy of exceptional service for customers in Thailand and helping new international brands succeed in the vibrant Thai market,” said Sivadon’s Managing Director Tananun Chatiyanonda.
The company, which launched its cross-border services in Thailand in 2022 through an exclusive partnership with Belgium Post’s Landmark Group, will be launching these services in a few months.
In September, this platform will also receive an upgrade that includes improved dashboards, new price comparison tools, and more cross-border partnerships.
Looking Ahead: Amilo stated that it is still searching for more profitable and well-established companies to merge with or acquire through M&A.
It claimed that while maintaining a strong foundation of demonstrated operational success, these strategic acquisitions are essential to modernizing and innovating the region’s logistics industry.
Notably, this is Amilo’s third acquisition in the brief two-year history of the company. It also signals the start of a number of strategic initiatives aimed at positioning Amilo as a major force in the SEA logistics sector.
Amilo stated that it sees a rare opportunity to become the first domestic full-service logistics integrator in the region, given that the bulk of full-service logistics companies in Southeast Asia are foreign-built.
The company claimed to be well on its way to accomplishing the initial objectives of its network expansion plan, with a fleet of over 100 trucks and a network of over 20 warehouses.
