To support African innovation, AfriLabs and Korea-Africa Foundation formed strategic alliance

In order to foster innovation and economic expansion throughout the continent, African hubs network AfriLabs and the Korea-Africa Foundation have inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU).

By bringing together technology hubs, startups, investors, and other important players in the ecosystem, AfriLabs is a network organization dedicated to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship on the continent.

AfriLabs has announced the addition of 16 new hubs, bringing its network to 478 hubs spread across 260 cities in 53 African countries.

Concurrently, the Korea-Africa Foundation seeks to enhance exchange and cooperation with African nations and provide a forum for private-public sector collaboration.

Through their partnership, the two hope to close the knowledge and resource gaps that exist between Korean and African startups. This will be accomplished through initiating collaborative research projects, exchanging perspectives on youth development, and building a vibrant ecosystem that nurtures talent and an entrepreneurial spirit in both areas.

“At AfriLabs, we are dedicated to unlocking Africa’s full potential and generating wealth through strategic alliances. This partnership with the Korea-Africa Foundation unlocks a treasure trove of opportunities for startups, granting them access to a global network, invaluable resources, and unparalleled industry knowledge. Together, we will empower the next generation of African innovators and entrepreneurs, paving the way for sustainable development and a thriving economy,” said Anna Ekeledo, executive director of AfriLabs.
